The International Demidov Association, headed by Andrei Malaev-Babel, unites artists and acting studios based in the School of Acting, pioneered by the Russian master-teacher, Nikolai Demidov. It runs certification programs and courses, produces international workshops and curates Demidov-based programs worldwide.
In 2020, the International Demidov Association and professor Andrei Malaev-Babel offered the first three-year Teacher Certification Program, which aims to train teachers around the world, capable of conveying the principles, the values and the ways of the Demidov organic technique, that loves and respects the actors and their creative process like no other in the history of acting.
In 2021, Teacher Certification Program has been expanded to 4 years, to closely mirror the inaugural two-year Acting Certificate Program, instituted the same year. The Demidov Acting Certificate course is the first and only opportunity, outside of Professor Malaev-Babel’s Florida graduate studio, to develop and habituate unparalleled creative instincts, developed by the Demidov School of Acting. It also offers participants an unprecedented experience of the compete Demidov acting curriculum, from its foundation (Demidov etudes) to working on a role and a play.
